The system requirements are higher compared to other emulators. Jnes requires at least a Pentium 133 (MMX prefered) and a good video card with 2D acceleration. Nesten is a very nice Nintendo NES emulator which supports a reasonble amount of memory mappers and sound. NESten is quite fast (for a NES emulator. for Windows). It can run at full speed on a Pentium 166 with full sound.

A NES emulator for Windows platform not much is known about it because the site is in japanese (It doesn't use the standard *.NES files, but instead it runs files in a split format. It uses midi to produce sound, but it can be difficult to configure because certain parts are sti ll in Japanese.), updated on October 5/2001 .
