Hello all, im new to PEC, been using epsxe for awhile now.
Im having trouble trying to figure out how some of the cheats work exactly. More specifically, the ones with 'modifier' in them, how do i find out what hex value to use? slightly confused around that part for instance: when i go to weapon codes, and choose a character and one of their weapons, it has a bunch of stuff in the weapons submenu like 'name offset modifier' and 'description offset modifier' What are they exactly? Are they to create your own sort of weapons? cos i tried adding it, then using $0 as the value if any popped up then using actual choices like abilities '$01 Cure' i set all that up used send cheats to plugin but it wasnt equipped, wasnt able to equip it, and wasnt in my inventory, so kinda confused as to what they are, and how do i find out what value means what? Also, things like 'have 1024 jumps in jump rope on disc 1' says press L2+R2+Up, ive activated it, send cheat to plugin, in game i press it, press it while jump roping, nothing happens at any time..how does one use codes like that? -Forgot to mention: Those are for Final Fantasy IX NTSC-U version. PS - when using the code twinks website for PEC codes, Is it as simple as getting into the game you want, choosing the section and just alot of copy+paste work? like for instance if it says 1 Infinite HP 801DC180 03E7 I just copy Infinite HP press enter, and then paste in the number code below it, into the codeslist in PEC or is there a simpler way?
