Glide64 Glide64 is a graphics plugin for N64 emulators such as Project64. It uses the 3dfx Glide3x API, and currently the best Glide plugin out!

From what I understand, its a unimplemented graphics microcode problem (explained earlier by Gonetz in a other forum thread). Its purely done by the plugin, so maybe the microcode emulation for PD/GE just needs to be updated (OT: Gonetz seems to be on a winning streak...I have no doubts he has the mind to do it )

Weird...I've been playing around with some framebuffer optimizations on NVIDIA cards for the wrapper and PD runs fine under 1964/PJ64, I havent checked out Mupen support in a while (maybe I need to do more testing on Mupen, due to this very recent regression). I'll check out that problem ASAP.

Changes in this build from official "update9" wrapper

* Correction to 1600x1024 resolution
* Removed 2048x2048 from being selected
* Fixed framebuffers in windowed mode (borders work 100% fine in Mupen and 1964)
* Removed Adler32 algorithm (not needed. Seemed to be used to check framebuffer texture integrity, not really needed as OpenGL has its own checks for this)
* Optimized texture copying for NVIDIA cards (via fixing texture format swizzling)
* Cleaned up 2xSai algorithm source

Wow, amazing, somehow you made it posible to make the frameskip possible in perfect dark and in goldeneye.. i tried it in 640*480 with 8xS FSAA and 16x AF, and was noticeable faster... great job!!! xD.. even framebuffer effects xD

No, no way. It's not emulated.

Hi,

Here's another small contribution of mine to the bug-reporting:

Lens of truth (Zelda Majora's mask, maybe also with OOT, haven't checked) doesn't work with the wrapper. It (sometimes) displays the red circle-view, but it doesn't show any hidden things (like the lens is supposed to)

Really strange...Have you tried using update9? For me, the Mupen64 PD problems were fixed by using the update9 Glide64 plugin, and by using Jabo's sound and RSP plugins (it fixes the hang at startup). Also, I noticed in my testing that certain combinations of plugins (like Jabo's DirectSound and his LLE RSP plugin) on 1964/Mupen64 get the game to start up correctly.

As far as I know from my testing, PD works fine. I have no idea whether the problem is ATI-specific or not (as I don't have a ATI card to test anymore. Well, I used to have a 256MB ATI Radeon 9600 Pro, but I accidently cooked it while playing Quake 4, on a hot summers day... )

TRS: AFAIK, the Lens of Truth is a framebuffer-related effect. Did you notice when it first broke, or was it a problem from the start?

sr_pener: I'm glad you noticed my optimizations . I have no idea whether it breaks compatibility or speed with ATI cards yet, but I'm very pleased that my efforts were not in vain.
