I'm there with you people. I didn't like Ted Woolsey translation that much and it reminded me of the USA version of the Dragon Ball Z Dub or worse yet the USA Yu-Gi-Oh dub. Don't get any hard feelings when people complain what you people did. They are just used to the USA Ted Woolsey Translation, so when anything changes they complain. For example if someone in Japan retranslated FF6 in Japanese but use the Ted Woolsey script and the people in Japan played the patch, they would complain, because it isn't what they remembered. And so the reverse goes around. Well thank you everyone for the true FFVI. ^__^

Well thanks a lot! Its nice to hear that some other people get some enjoyment out of it too.
But as a bottom line it doesnt matter that much, since we enjoy it, and we are the main reason we worked on the project. Please dont take that the wrong way. We fully understand that some people dont like it, and thats fine. But let people make up their own minds rather then use a personal vendetta against me to voice the problems with the game. Some of which are not even horrible problems in many peoples eyes. I am refering to the 2d article. Voicing your objections in an intelligent manner is always acceptable to us, and sometimes we even make changes for people when they react with this level of maturity. Such as replacing the fonts in the 2.0 version for people who want a larger one because it may be easier for them to read. Being constructive is much better than destructive imo. And anytime you or anyone have objections stated in a mature way you will always be welcome here! We also see your point too, many people just love the game too much to even consider that it could have been done more faithful to the original makers intents (in our opinions) of the game and story in English. If someone doesnt like the idea of the retranslation, they dont need to play it. It really is that simple. Thanks for your comments again. And welcome to RPGOne and EmuXhaven.

Welcome. By the way, what was your favorite part of the retranslation? Aside from the obvious new dialogue and text, I loved Relm with a passion. The things she gets away with saying...damn. My member title is dedicated to her.

I'm not that far into the game yet, I only got to south Fargaro. I learned a few things in this translation that I didn't know. Like Edgar being a pervert. Tina actually is more sensitive to people. Of course I loved Kefka's Cefca's real line after I defeated the 2 soldiers in the Magic Armor. Instead of Son of a Submariner, he said Son of a *****es, which I thought was even funnier in a way. Also the Emperor Ghastra's lines in the flashback in the beginning of the game seemed really cool, it makes the Empire look real evil.

Thank you, thank you, I take full credit for it.
PS did you use the installer program or did you just apply the patch the old fashioned way?
