okay, so I have decided to try out this versatile little tool (the emulator called bochs) to see if I can get my old games running under win2000...

There is a little problem though... this is a pretty tough puppy to use... configuring the virtual machine you want to emulate isn't as easy as pie.... (ahh the simplicity of winUAE).

Anybody that has some experience with Bochs care to help a confused newbie with the set up? *It seems that the project has been bough out by a new software comp and the help files are quite empty and incomplete.

Hmm... Okay... a double post but necessary to improve on the previous post by keepin the original intact...

I kind of like having a General Emulation Forum before it was removed,  it provided a place for people to post stuff about emulation other than psx/nintendo (console emulation)  yes, I know there aren't many members interested in other types of emulation such as amiga/dos/c64/etc... but it provided a place for these questions to be addressed other than the "generral discussion" forum which basically contains non-emulation related posts.  Also a "general emulation" forum would also be a nice place to discuss the legality issues of emulation... such as news about current lawsuits, where the legal fate of the scene is going, any good positive news (such as the amiga example) etc..."  I guess this could allow some room to expand the boards beyond the classig "game/discussion style" but again, it may be a sugestion detested by other members.
