View Full Version : N64 Emulation in general
Well from what you stated so far, your sys is perfectly fine to run N64 (BTW, what vid card u got?). I have 1.2ghz 256mb ram GF2, and I get 200+ FPS on Mario64 with frame limit off. If you're not already using Project64, i suggest u get that and 1964 while you're at it. I play PJ regulary, at least once a day. And yes, some games arent emulated perfectly, but whats been properly emulated so far is more than satisfactory IMO. http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Ya, PJ64 and 1964 emulates most of the popular games, but currently the N64 emulation scene seems to be dying.

As a player I use to only care when a new release came out but now I can see I am actually interested with the making of them. As you say the PSX and Snes etc are emulated much better but I recon more ppl are on the N64 scene because it's more of a challenge to emulate. I rarely contribute to the n64 emu makers but I do respect them for the work they have done and Nintendo for making the great games.
Yes I have just purchased a P4 2Ghz, 256MB Ram, GeForce 4 and PJ64 runs MoM so fast with great gfx. Much better than on my old 500Mhz and voodoo 3 any of you remember. No I cannot tell the difference between Geforce 2 and 4 mainly because I have never played with a geeforce 2 or 3. All I know is that GeForce 4 is class. So now that I have bragging rights, brag brag brag brag brag brag brag brag brag brag brag brag brag brag brag brag brag brag brag brag brag brag brag brag brag brag! http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

If you're saying the n64 scene is dying, you're wrong...
There's a lot of plugins' being made around here now...
'Sides, other emus is still going as stated before.
And I'd just like to say against you... P4 sucks. You should've gotten a athlon.
