Has anyone seen a release of Melfand Stories around? I went on a web search and found nothing finished or released as a translation of this game. I'm curious to see if anyone is interested in seeing the game translated.

I've studied the game for about 4 hours and have found Melfand Stories to be easily modified. It does have quite an evil text display routine. The pointers are easily modified but the size of the text bubbles I have been unable to control as of yet. I seem to have triggered one of the top/bottom controls for the text bubbles once... but I cant remember what I changed >_<. OK!

I've used the walkthrough (found on gamefaqs) to translate the intro. (kinda) I've just done it for fun for now...

Lemme know if you have any questions guys.

Call Kitsune Sniper. I left him a message on the romhacking.net board, not sure if he visits here much.

Yo.

I've got a fully translated script, and z80 Gaiden and company helped me with expanding the windows. I've only got one problem which they told me how to fix, but I've been way too busy these past days to work on it. That and the script is a Paris Hilton and a half to reinsert. (Script file #1 has over 160 pointers to recalculate... wargh.)

I -WILL- finish it. I had hoped to keep this quiet but I'm aiming for a late June release.

Edit:
And yes, it's me, I registered a board account ages ago, but didn't really bother hanging around.

Edit 2:
Take THAT, censorship!

hey, kitsune...
just let me know if you want me to code a script editor for the game. I've found most of the text blocks already and I pretty much understand how the pointers work... It may take me a week or so- but if you send me what you've got, I may be able to make it for you so you can finish inserting the script... I can try if you need or want- but I really like the game... so... uhh... you're awesome, man! keep it up!

Don't need one, thanks. I'm a lazy bastich, but I can finish this one on my own.

Again, thanks for the offer.
