Actually it depends on how bad the diabetes is. If treated soon enough and properly no shots are necessary. However, my father-in-law for example, sometimes gets shots as much as twice a day (he is in very bad shape and doesn't eat right) and don't forget the finger pricks to test your blood!

well we just found out that MAYBE my dad wont be able to go back to normal life he may be paralized to an extent we may not be able to go outside and throw football and engage in any sprots activity anymore http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif hope it doesnt come to that but even if it does im going to be alot closer to my dad now

Wow... From what this means it seemed you dad had a severe stroke rather than a heart attack... It's unfortunate but I guess a catastrophe like this brings a family together more. Hopefully he can recover after a while, so good luck.

Whoa, seems i missed everything... Hope everything goes well!
My grandparents both had strokes with about one week between em, But a 33 year old person having to go through that, i can't imagine how that must feel... http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/shakehead.gif

DW here's a suggestion: Turn this negative into a positive. I don't know how much your Dad is into computers but if he is not, now is a good time to teach him what you know. This would make for some good quality time spent together. http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
