when creating a backup, what file extension should the cd image be?

um.. depends what program your using,, its usually .iso

I plan to use alcohol 120%. so basically just burn it normally.
sorta sucks though, cuz I don't have dvd rw drive yet :bigcry:

the dvd burner doesnt really matter as much as the media your using..
some dvds work like crap and some won't work at all, just find a brand of media and stick with it .. personally i have a pioneer burner (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=27-129-161&depa=0) and have had much luck with ridata dvd-rs (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-132-341&depa=0), speed shouldnt matter too much unless your burnign it to fast and its having problems.. so basically trial and error

Verbatim DataLifePlus and Pastel ( plus other Tayo Yuden discs) is best ones. No problems with both DVD+R and DVD-R (but some PS2 can read only one type of DVDs)

stick with iso :} I use a sony burner and DVD+R 4x media disks(i'm the king of cheapness) that you can get from newegg.com(I love newegg fast and reliable).

heres a little guide:

1. Put the DVD game you wish to burn into the DVD burner.
2. Get a blank DVD.
3. Install DVD Decrypter and Decrypt the DVD in Iso mode
4. Put your blank DVD disc in and burn it using DVD decrypter.
After you've done all of that... I dont know what to do next for those who dont have mod chips in your ps2, although theres ment to be a way to use a burnt game without the modchip installed. I just dont know how.
