Hi

I have not played with emulation for a long while now, and I am amazed by the amazing progress made in recent years.
However, I am looking for some help with *IMPACT or ZINC.
I played Streetfighter EX a few years back with my Windows 9X machine with no problems, however having upgraded to a superfly fast machine, I am having no luck whatsover with using with either ZINC or IMPACT in Windows XP Home Ed.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME IDIOT GUIDE TO THE EXACT DOWNLOADS REQUIRED AND ALSO CONFIGURATION SO THAT I CAN USE THESE EXCELLENT RESOURCES.

Also, on another note, is there anyway of getting a decent running emulation of Sega's Virtua Racing? *Or any of the Virtua Series.

I would appreciate any help whatsover http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

OK... Here goes. Instructions for Zinc.

1) Download ZinC v0.9 (the latest one I think)
2) Unzip it to its own directory
3) Put roms in the roms folder
4) Download either Aldo's Frontend or DaFreak's ZinC GUI (I prefer DF's), not both
5) Put it in the zinc folder
6) Open up the frontend you downloaded
7) Set up the stuff
8) Open up your game

Voila! ZinC working on WinXP!

I think Modeler is supposed to emulate the Sega machines but I am not sure about the specific ones.

There's a impact build that works with NT based systems... I'll give u a link to it as soon as i can find it in my comp.

The patched version that runs on NT is here http://www.zophar.net/Files/NT_ImpactEMU.EXE

ZinC works with WinXP and is more compatible than impact tho (since it combines impact and s11emu.)

Ah! true, but it would be better if he gets both of them, usually there's many things that work better in 1 emu.
