Newbie Help

Ok I'm using Mame32 (the newest version) and I have all the files needed to play Shinobi (set 1) where do I put the Shinobi files? I named a folder "Shinobi (set 1)" then I put it in the "roms" folder, but it still didn't work. Can someone let me know what I did wrong?

Nope. Just leave the files in the zip file and put the zip in the rom directory. You can do what you did too but that takes up too much room.

Anyway, your problem is probably that you downloaded the files with the old rom names. Current MAME roms require this format:

ROMNUMBER_ROM.bin

If your extension ends with .rom, you have to rename it.
