Which is easier?

Would it be easier to mod the "older" PS2 or the newer one? Because I noticed the newer one flips open like the PSX, so wouldn't that make it easier?

the "newer" ps2 doesnt have the expansion bay, so lots of add ons (hard drive, exc) will not be useable.

So if I plan on modding I should get the "Older" Version? Cuz the new one is ugly as hell anyway...

The are only a few chips, but growing, for the new ones(named PSTwo in the Ps2 fansites). Go for the old ones. You have the options for a harddrive. You can put several games onto the drive that can speed up the loading time. Specially if you play Dragon Ballz 3 Budakai. Takes like a year to load that thing on my ps2
