Pretty cool how they made FF2 much less of a chore.

And this is not just a port down Origins... If you notice the above screens, FF1 has MP now.

Yeah, that`s out right now here in Japan. I wonder if it`s comin to the U.S? My friend has a part to the gameboy advance that can hold a ton of mods and stuff from the computer, and play directly onto his gameboy advance. It`s friggan awsome.

What I'm really waiting for is Final Fantasy I+II into spanish, since Nintendo has made a lot of translations for GBA games, making them multi-language, I hope this one won't be the exception.

I'm really looking forward to it. B)

What are you talking about? I don't understand the first part... Anyways.

It isn't odd, there's a FF game on NES called the same, well, without the Advance. :P It has Final Fantasy I and II in the same cartridge.

I was just curious about these names, thats all. Very odd names for Final Fantasy characters, at least in my opinion, in order they are.

yea the game is coming out on GBA in America in 3 months and also the full title name is

Final Fantasy 1&2 'Dawn of Souls'
plus the game will also have the additions of 'Souls or Chaos' and 'Souls of Rebirth' extras
so it is going to be different from the PSone versions
and yea they are introducing the MP magic system to the battle system of FF1&2DoS

Well, I bought it. And I've beaten FF1 (I think it's like the 100th time or something). Anyways, I love FF1, but I was kinda disappointed with this remake. Though I'm sure I'll play it again, it was simply too easy.

I understand that people don't want to sit and look at their GBA (or DS in my case) for hours while a boss eradicates them with one spell.... over and over again. The MP system made this much simpler. The player needs to be restricted on how often they can cast Flare, and Firaga, etc.... otherwise it gets too simple.

Plus, the fiends were wimps. Each fight was lucky to last 3 full rounds. My BM started by buffing the Fighter and Monk... and before he could get any real spells cast on the fiend, it was usually dead. *shrug*

I knew not to expect the NES's level of difficulty, but that doesn't mean I missed it any less.

On a slightly happier note, the extra dungeons seem pretty cool, and I'd like to fill out the bestiary. But, I haven't felt like playing much lately because even the Cerberus (an extra boss in FF1) fell to my power in just a few rounds. My desire to see bosses from the past will eventually take over though. :)

Anyways, I'll be starting FF2 here eventually. I'm trying to wait just long enough so that after beating FF2.. I won't have to wait to play FF3 on DS.

EDIT: My party was Warrior, Monk, White Mage, Black Mage. After beating it, you save your data on the cart, and loading that one lets you start a new game with all your bestiary data intact. In fact, in order to have one save game with the full bestiary, you must either 1) get the full bestiary, THEN beat Chaos or 2) start a new one after beating Chaos and finishing the bestiary.

For some challenge, my next party will not have a Monk or a Black Mage. I'll probably have a Red Mage... and I'm seriously considering dropping the White Mage. We'll see. :)

Hey, I just made this Final Fantasy VII skin for VisualBoyAdvance-1.8.0-beta2. It's my first try at makin one, but I think it's not too shabby. Thing is I got no place to post it for d/l. So if anyone knows where I can post it let me know. But I attached a screen shot so tell me what you think about it. I know this thread was originally for the dawn of souls game, but maybe some of you like FF VII?
