-Last Blade 2-
Last Blade 2 is a NeoGeo based game made by SNK and some other company, can't remember. Anyway, it's sort of like Samurai Showdown, except not quite as easy to play, with better graphics, and better sound...better everything really. The game has many cool features such as the option to choose between "Power" and "Speed" modes.
Power allows you to use desperation, and super-desperation moves (In this game, if you can pull of a super-desperation, it's a one hit kill with the whited-out backdrop and the Japanese characters). Speed allows you to link together more moves, which requires a lot of skill to perform correctly, and a Street Fighter Alpha style desperation where your speed is inhanced further, you gain multiple blueish-purpleish shadows, and you can wreak hell on your opponent with 20 hit combos.
The game itself resembles the Rurouni Kenshin anime series (known in the US and Europe as Samurai X) quite remarkebly. One of the charcters even sounds just like Kenshin...despite the fact that that character is a women... The game is also set in the Bakumatsu era.
Very cool characters, even though some are a bit too strong, and even though the game is a bit tougher that other SNK fighters, you keep coming back to try and get past the 4th stage :P . If you recall the "Striker" from King of Fighters 2000 "Kaede", you'll notice that the central character in this is actually him.
This game is truely brilliant, and if you havn't played/downloaded this game yet I suggest you do. It is exactly what you'd expect from an SNK based fighting game, hands down.
