You may have a ROM that's not compatible with your current emulator. Are you sure you have the neogeo bios?

Yes, im sure i have the bios. Does it matter if their zipped or unzipped and where is good place to put them. What am i doing wrong and how can i fix the error message i get. I downloaded mame but have no knowledge on how to use it also.

By the way i get this error message: Couldnt find 000-lo.lo (e09e253c) for game, Error

I seem to be having the same problem, except when i try to load Samurai Showdown 4 (samsho4.zip) manually (i had to bring up the entire list of games i didnt have and select SS4), it spit something about Bad CRC Check or something. I am wondering if this means that the newer Nebula(and it wouldn't work in the newest Kawaks either) recognizes a different MD5 or w/e than the file i have? And Btw, any chance i could get a hint as to where a NeoRageX Compatible BIOS is? I have one that seems to work with both Nebula and Kawaks, but when i set it in the main NRX folder,AND the roms folder, it says i'm missing neo-geo.rom. i looked in the neogeo.zip file and there was no such file. so, any help would be appreciated, juss wanna play Samurai Showdown 4. thanks.

I suggest you both try mame instead of the Emu's that you are using now.

heres a link to one that supports alot of new games (but has trouble with old sets)
Removed.

toolfan Its the rom, but if you dont want to download the rom again I suggest that you get an older version of kawaks. Try 1.45 as they did some major changes to kawaks with 1.49 onwards.
:Alternativly:If you want to check if the emu is compatible with the rom go to the emulator and open the zip file and see the name of the files, they should have similar names(E.G kof98_s1, kof98_s2, and on), then go open the emu and check the driver of the rom, the rom files are usually named after the driver. If they dont resemble then try unzip and change the names of the files, that got some roms to work for me in the past.

You have to remember that there are lots of different versions of ROMs, supported by different emulators. I suggest you look for a different ROM.

Toolfan, if you're still around, the file that you're missing is part of the NeoGeo bios. Make sure you put the non-extracted neogeo.zip inside the ROM folder.

WaZeeM: Sorry, but custom compiles of MAME cannot be posted here.

:computer: Dude, I've tried MAME. Doesn't work. I put neogeo.zip and samsho4.zip in the MAME root folder, the roms folder, and juss about everywhere else. Tried MAME32, MAME32+, S.M.F.E., and none of them worked. Always spit something out at me about sm1.sm1 or something missing from the ROM .zip files. Also, NeoRageX STILL doesn't work. Is there a specific sm1.sm1 file for each game, or can I juss grab a copy of the file and shove it in each rom? Oh, BTW, ClrMamePro is confusing as a woman. : \

sm1.sm1 should be in the neogeo.zip
If it's not, go download one that has it in. :P
The neogeo.zip I use is 234kb.

Also, I really wouldn't use NeoRageX. The ROMs for that emulator aren't generally compatible with any other one.

just a question, do the roms stay zipped?
