There are no XP versions to my knowledge.

The regular version works just fine for Windows XP. I'm guessing you try to start the program but a window pops up and closes almost instantaniously? That's how it's supposed to work. Try using ZiNcGUI (http://dafreak.ngemu.com/) with it.

ZINC v1.01 Released :) www.emuhype.com/index.phtml?s=zinc&ss=files
Aldo's Zinc Frontend 2.01 www.aldostools.com/frontends.html
ZiNc GUI 1.94 http://dafreak.ngemu.com
ZiNc 1.0.1 update: This update fixes a crash in "Susume! Taisen Puzzle-dama" on the Windows version, disables two games that weren&acutet working, adds the US version of Street Fighter EX, removes the obsolete --verify option, and adds a --rotate option for people with rotatable LCD or arcade monitors. Additionally the Linux version will now run on non-Pentium 4 CPUs. The ROM sets have all been synced to the latest MAME 0.88 - thanks to Brian Troha for pointing out the differences.

ZiNc 1.0 is now available!: This long-awaited update picks up right where 0.9 left off, offering better emulation of existing games and more than doubling the number of supported games. Highlights include working sound and music in System 11 games (a very fast PC is required for this, but you can turn off sound to get your speed back), various graphical fixes such as the story text in Tech Romancer, and more.

BTW, please note that the Win32 version does not come with any renderer plugins. If you are already using ZiNc 0.9 and you downloaded "1.2" plugin package from July you only need the new binary. If you are new to ZiNc, you must also download the "ZiNc OpenGL and D3D renderers 1.2" package from the files page.

You have <600MHz PC ? It can be the only reason to use that bug-o-tron.

no, I have a 3.2 ghz pc. But pc performance isn't everything. impact is easier to setup(plus my impact is already setup with all the roms).

i will try Zinc + the GUIs.... (maybe next month, now i have to study :-) )

i think, with a front end, is easier (ie. setting roms names/folder, plugins.......)
