has anyone tried playing the japanese version of this game?....cuz at gbacentral.net it shows everyone except Ivan....what gives? is Ivan even in the jap version?

Ivan is in the Japanese version. Those pics there look like its from some kind of beta or something because I don't know why Mia is in the beginning of the game there.

have you already passed golden sun, i want to find out a few things from ppl who have.

well while i'm waiting for someone who passed the game, check this out......

After you press start at the main screen (the part with the mountain) Hold down Left, R and A buttons......you'll see a new item on the screen called send, i think this is used to transfer your save file to goldensun too and resume it from there, now that's pretty cool......there's a password method and link cable method (only game cleared data files can be transferred)
