How exactly are you supposed to use the infared support in TGB_Dual? http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

I think the only thing the infrared does on the real GBC is that Pikachu minigame thing, which gives you items in Pkmn Gold+silver. I don't know if a rom of that or something exist so i guess you can't really do anything with it for now.

That's not exactly what I meant. It seems that the new versions of TGB_Dual can support *EXTERNAL* hardware support like the infared. Which means that you could take some sort of infared device on your computer and contact the pikachu thing or another Gameboy Color. I was wondering how exactly I was supposed to use these features.

Wow... I have no idea how that's supposed to work then... Maybe you connect one of those supermarket infrared scanners onto your comp?? http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/music.gif

Couldn't be, those are made specifically for barcodes and there are special infared connectors for your computer. I'm just trying to figure how to exactly use it. The infared was originally made something like a null modem cable and not for something like a gamboy color. http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cwm2.gif

Anyway which version are you using again? Maybe you can read the readme (if you don't understand Japanese use babelfish to get the general idea)

I just noticed the Emulator also supports a TBR(barcode reader) so maybe that Supermarket TBR can be used for something http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cwm2.gif http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cwm2.gif (though not like the normal infared http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif )

Hmm... OK... The readme doesn't seem to say much I guess. Oh well.
BTW the Pokemon cardreader that'll be released for the GBA Pokemon game is a barcode reader of sorts, so the Gameboy hardware isn't exactly unassociated with barcodes either http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Babelfish? Neat, that's from The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, a small fish that you put in your ear, and it lets you understand any language http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
But this is off topic, don't let me disturb ya.
