Problem With Psx Controller On Mame?

Aight, I use the Kiky X-Series Adapter to use my PSX and PS2 controller for Mame. Now it pretty much works 100%, like 99% really. The problem is when I play fighting games or such, the controls all work, but there are major problems when I try to like double tap a button or back dash, some times its not responsive at all. And trying to do moves like Fireballs and Super's are very very difficult, I was wondering if there is a fix to this problem or anything?? Because my Computer Controller I use works fine with mame and im able to do super's very easily. Any Help?

the only thing i can think of is that it is a hardware problem involving your adapter. try updating your drivers.
