"According to the latest issue of Japanese gaming publication Famitsu, Square's WonderSwan Color remake of Final Fantasy III has undergone many delays due to an unexpectedly long development time. Specifics as to the reason for the extended production time were not mentioned, but it was revealed that the game will probably not be released anytime soon.
The Final Fantasy III remake is part of a series of re-releases of classics in Square's Masterpiece Collection for the WonderSwan Color. The game takes players onto a floating continent where they are to lead the light warriors to victory over the invading darkness. Because the game is currently available only for Bandai's Japanese-exclusive portable, it will likely not be released in North America." --RPGamer
Good. It's good to hear that the game's not cancelled, since this is IMO the BEST 8-bit game and the most fun 2D Final Fantasy ever.
I wonder why the game's taking so long though, maybe it's too long or there's not enough staff working on it or something?
