Ack Stupid Neo Rage X

I have neo rage X the neo geo emu, and I've been useing Neo RAGEX Which is now extremely out of date I guess..

Here is my list of problems:
Ninja Masters: Fragmented level graphics
King of Fighters 98: Wont even list
King of Fighters 2000: Fragmented menu, and icon graphics
King of Fighters 2001: Fragmented graphics
King of Fighters 2002: Fragmented graphics
Samurai Showdown: Crashes
The Last Blade 2: Fragmented graphics in Arcade mode..

So whats wrong?

Sorry for the dobule post, but I tried the other 2 emulators, one wont start, the other wont load roms.. I rally want to get my roms working properly, is there any thing I can do? PAtches maybe? I'm runing the Neo Rage X v0.06b I think thats it..

You have neogeo.bin, right?

I know that there's some file naming differences between MAME and NeorageX...

And, as MAME turned to be the default today (Kawaks and Finalburn alpha, for instance, use MAME's naming system)...

you could rename each file to become MAME compliant... or you could just re-download the files, grabbing MAME compliant files...

Neo Rage X Is the only emulator that runs kof2001 and up to my knowledge, so don't bother trying the other ones. But at least you can open neo rage, bloody XP can't even open the file for me :(

Kawaks, Nebula and special MAME compiles can also run kof2001. For Kawaks and Nebula you need .dat files for the game. Nebula has to be version 2.23 (No letters after it) or 2.23d with the loader. Kawaks requires a loader.

well turns out i don't have kof2001 anymore, oh well 2000 is still pretty good. Is 2001 or later any better, and if so how?

Just go to google to search for EGCG for Neogeo

This is the lastest emulator for Neorage

This i think may solve all ur problem ;)

NeoRAGEx is outdated and crap. If you try hard, you can find varients of MAME that will run The King of Fighters 2001/2002/2003, Metal Slug 4/5, SNK VS Capcom: Chaos, Rage of the Dragons and so on. Bizarrely, these varients seem to anger MAMEdev less than a recent version that allows the usage of the ZiNc plugin system. But I digress, stop using NeoRAGEx!

the problem with fragmented graphics was probably a bad (corrupt) *.zip file.
