For the past three days i have been playing Donkey Kong Country 3. i finished it in 4 hours. It was my first time i ever played all the way through. I didn't use any walkthroughs either!

I don't think i'll be playing any DK games for anytime soon :blink:

Edit: hmmm... i just took a look around and i think i should have posted this in one of the screenies topics... whoops...

I've never finished DKC 3 completely, but my personal best for the original DKC is 3:25 with 101%.

though I have to say I didnt do it totaly honestly because I occasionaly used save states when I wasn't sure whether or not there was a bonus down a pit.

If you just went down there to look for any treasure while still maintaining your time, then yeah, that's cheating :rolleyes:

SAVE STATES are a persons best freind when you wanna do something
like that and its not really considered cheating either but for me i just use them when i do something stupid

Mega, saves states when used in certain ways are as much cheating as unlimited lives and stuff.
Still, pretty impressive though. :P

Oh man...thats too fast, i guess i just couldn't ever play the side scrolling DKC's for shit... Gimme mario anyday.

sorry but with a quick finger you donīt need many lives to clear the game, if you abuse of the save state you can clear the game with one live... but there is no game if there are no loses.

Wow Seams that recently theres bean alot of people looking at this somewhat stale topic and it reminded me about how much i liked the music (the gameplay and dificulty is not as good as DKC2) so i decided to ploay the game again. This time without save states (i actualy saved my state once so i could eat dinner and take a break), and all i have to say it wow. Second time through and only 2:55. Enjoy!

Edit:I don't actualy play this game 24/7. I just seam to have a knack for DK games. ;)

Edit #2:You know what? I think i'm just going to start another topic with this new time in it.
