Xbox Emu is still a few years away, and even though it uses a stripped down windows 2000 kernel, you would still need one hell of a Cpu (2.4 Ghz or higher) and Video Card somthing like (256 mb DDR) 3dfx with all the bells and whistles to run it.

not to mention that wierd ass hard drive format it uses, although i did read some where a while ago (think it was arcade at home) that some had a dev kit and made a binary that would run Xbox on the pc but they were promptly arrested and fined by Microsoft ®.

anyways just wait a little longer Xbox is comming down in price microsoft is having troubles in the market so sooner or later they will be in every pawn shop in town for around 75.00 to 100.00 give or take a dollar besides there is nothing on Xbox you cannot get for the Pc anyway.

just a thought for ya have a nice day all

Actually, there IS an x-box emulator.
It's been 'round for pretty long.
The controllers were just working last time i saw an update. No commercial games is running...and i don't know 'bout demos...but some might run.

But that's all i really know...i forgot the url. It's on the emu64 homepage...i dunno if it's down, though.

EDIT: Well, it isn't really an emulator. It actually converts X-Box games to PC games.

Yeah, Caustik is working on one. It is called CXBX, as of the latest release it is showing graphics in simple demos, and can even convert halo to exe and hijack some calls. His website is not down either, to see the screenshot of a simple demo working(as well as some of halo booting if you look around the website) visit his site:

whoa cool news, wonder how they got around that screwy set of Chips that thing is loaded with ?. well all i can say is if there is a will there is a way i guess.

thanx for the info i guess i will have to watch that for a while to see how it develops might be interesting to see how they handle the bios calls and such to the kernel and so forth.

the only developments i knew of where to make an xbox run linux and other emus.

anyways, what kind of system do you have that would actually run an xbox emulator? If you can afford that monster of a system then just buy one. :D
