scanning zelda sites for databases and monster graphics I came across info on 3 Zelda games made for a system called CD-i (apparently a nintendo CD system) which I never heard of till now... Is there an emulator for it?
If I remember correctly, the CD-I was an attachable cd drive for the 64. It was never released in the US.
If there is an emulator, Slips 'ol buddy, then you're gonna' have to have the CDs to play it. (Unless you can find ISOs and MP3s http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif )

It wasn't created exactly by nintendo, instead they gave philips the right to make nintendo characters (like mario and zelda and link and...) on a CD based machine... which (AFAIK) was planned to be a Snes extention...

Actually, Philips was collaborating with Sony on the CD-i(Sony and Philips were actually the FIRST makers of commercial CDs). Problems occurred between the two companies though and they parted ways. The CD-I was eventually released by Philips.
Then it got even more involved. Sony announced that they were working on a CD-addon to the Super NES called the Play Station. But on the VERY NEXT DAY, Nintendo announced that the one who would be making the CD addon would be Philips and not Sony. because of this deal, Nintendo gave Philips permission to use some Nintendo characters on the CD-i.
Sony got majorly pissed with Nintendo for signing on a foreign competitor to do this, but since Nintendo still used Sony technology on the SNES, they managed to reconcile somewhat and Sony even helped them out a little with that addon (which was never released--600 were made though). However, Sony is determined to dethrone Nintendo from the gaming throne because of the betrayal and the PS-X was announced two years later. http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Yup. http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
And because of that Nintendo lost its place as the top console maker and gaming company. That and the fact that its arrogance made it lose companies like Squaresoft to the Playstation, which contributed to its downfall.

It wasn't that popular a console to begin with, so its probably even more dead than the systems with ISOs throughout the net (SegaCD, Saturn, etc)
