I found a way to fix it finally http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
If anyone else has this problem...
Go to the Gravis webpage (http://www.gravis.com/support/sup_1037.html) and download the xperience software. There are 2 versions 1 for windows 95, and the other for all higher versions of windows (98, ME, 2000, and XP).
Go into zsnes and set the input to keyboard and then choose your keys for what snes buttons, you have to remember which keys you set or write it down if you have a bad memory like I do. (You can leave it default also)
Then open up the gravis software and create a new set. It lets you choose a program to attach the button mapping to. And then set the buttons on the gamepad pro to whatever keys you chose in the zsnes input area. Then everytime you load that program(zsnes dos) the keys are mapped to your gamepad. You can use this method for other emulators also, and any other program you choose. Every time you run the particular program you chose, the button map is automatically loaded.
Forgot to mention this is for the USB version of gamepad pro.
