I'm trying to get the last 3 masks from the Anju and Kafei sequence. In order to get one i have to get into the inn on the First Day at 1pm(around there anyway). The game screen goes black when i enter there on the first day for some reason and to check that it froze, when i stopped limiting the FPS, it was well over 700(must have frozen alright). How do I get in the stock pot inn on the First Day without it freezing...?

first i tried with a save state
then i tried going back in time from a save state and entering
then i tried going through the majora menu and entering the game as if this was a real n64
all three of them crashed when i entered the stock pot inn on the first day

load from the n64, save state b4 the crash point, end emulation, click on options - settings - rom settings, change to intrepreter, load the state, get past the point, save state, and change it back to recompiler

Your idea worked! Thanx a lot
BTW, what is the difference between recompiler and interpreter mode anyway?

hmmmm, i see what u mean
My fps(when not limited) does seem to be a lot lower...
It went from 300-500 down to about 80-110...since it was above 60 and i had it limited to 60, i guess thats y i didnt notice b4...
I'm keepin it at recompiler since it is a lot faster...thx for tellin me the difference
Tekken: that wasn't a long story http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

In Computer programming a recompiler has to compile the program before it is run and so less errors will occur and an interpreter decodes and executes line by line as goldy said. GoldenEye hows the training coming along?? Usually interpreter is faster at running but maybe emus and stuff is different.

a complier and recomplier are 2 diferrent things i think its called a recompilers casue it has 2 recompile compiled things if u understand wat i mean the program has been compiled already and is technicaly an exe if it was a computer program but its a n64 rom if u get me so its gotta recompile its so ur CPU can run it very dodgy explanation sorry http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

If you've got troubles with VB, I can always be of assistence since I know it quite well...
Anyway...if you're gonna do an emulator, c++ is at least to suggest since c++ apps runs faster than vb. Vb isn't really good for emulators http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

Am I being stupid but why has this post gone to the top of the list. Noone has replied to it. Apparently the last post was June 2nd but when opening it up there is no post at all. I do hope this will not restart the recompiler and interpreter debate.
