Well, this isn't really much, but I did manage to do this:

So, I guess this is maybe a step, just not by itself.
But, I figured I'd at least post something.

Oh yeah, the goal of this is to discover the script indexing byte, so I can DTE this thing.

It's a convertion of a Dragon Quest NES game I think.
