Here's the deal. I need to make an Italics version of the dialogue font, so that it can be used in special text strings, like reading an inscription. I am just horrible at making fonts. So mine probably won't be very pretty. If you can help, please email me at chrisrpg@bellsouth.net . *I can send you all the files you'll need for it. I will only need the letters a-z and A-Z. I just would rather spend my time on getting the text all input correctly and fixing pointers.

Exactly what's involved with rom font-making? Is it some sort of ppm-type pixel-by-pixel editing or just a bunch of graphics?

Well you could use a graphics editor. the best one for this is Naga(if you dont have XP) and SNES edit (if you have XP)
Because the dialogue font is stored backwards, and a weird size of 8x13 , Which most game graphics editors cant handle properly.
