Well Im not sure about the Japanese ones. But the PSX is Working Designs, the same people that brought us Lunar 1 and 2 for PSX and now Lunar for GBA.! They seem to be doing a good job. I played Arc the Lad a lttile. Very nice...

Arc the Lad was developed by Sony, and their "Arc" Development team. Sadly the games are VERY boring and are terribly outdated. I beat Arc the Lad in under 10 hours, and was soon to complete Arc the Lad II the following day. I didn't enjoy them. I wouldn't WASTE $70 on it, I brought my game and my watch back and got my money back for it. =D I'm glad they were nice to give it all back to me.

Oh i thought it was working designs. Oh well... And I guess its really up to the player. I am an avid fan of older games that dont take 100-200 hours to finish completely. http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

You will like it.  It has a very interesting battle system and a great story.  It's like a more interactive strategy RPG, like Shining Force.  However, it is much simplier and has less hassle in moving and attacking, unlike FFTactics.   I just finished AtL 1 yesterday (its very short ~ 8 hrs)  and am going to begin AtL II today while I wait for our combined FF2 WSC patch to be fixed (it keeps freezing the game after the battles...probably the result of my IPs file. Don't worry though, I sent Chris a new dialogue only IPS so hopefully that will fix the problem.)

Oh i'm a fan of OLD Rpgs that are short myself, but this game is reallly boring, it's like a Stratagy game, without the stratagy, and a roleplaying game without the roleplaying. You just goto a battlefield and fight. it's boring, VERY boring.

Oh I found out the English translation was done by working designs, and it was developed by Sony.

I played part 1 for about an hour in total. And its a cute game. I just dont have the time to get into leveling up right now, so I cant progress, they keep killing me. But im sure when we get ff2 and dq12 work done, Ill have lots more time. I still liked it though. Its very different.

Hey its not all that boring. Its just you have to fight to get the new skills and level up to beat the next round of monsters. And is a lot easier to navigate than shining force or FFT. I liked it. Now I have nad my fill of playing stuff. back to the hacking I guess. Its worth it to see the animations of the spells.

I know but it is 4 games in one, and if you divide it up thats worth it! You can always trade it in at a shop that accepts trades too.

The game is $80 in US dollars. or close to it. You get 6 discs. And a few collectible things. Go to ebworld.com to see everthing in the package, it reminds of Lunars packaging in a way. You get arc the lad 1 (1cd and very short 10hours) arc the lad 2 (longer and continues from part1 1 cd), arc the lad 3 (2cds long, ) ,monster battle(might not be called that i forgot...1cd I havent tried it yet.) And the making of (1cd with video and interviews on how they made the games in English-That was interesting). And all the save data from one game is compatible with the next part. So somehow you use the data from 1 in part 2, and 2 in part 3, and in the arena. Not sure how it is used though, Because my projects havent allowed me any time to get done with part 1 yet. I have only played a couple hours. Now that FF2 is out, and DQ12 is in beta testing... I will enjoy playing the games. I hope http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I know that when you do popular games for projects... the expectation is high. That is why I have spent so much time on these projects. I ususally work on them 10-14 hours a day. Which leaves little time for anything else. When DQ12 is released though that will change. maybe 5-6 hours in a day. But for now Im still hacking away. and will stop tonite now to go and try to finish arc the lad1.

Ah you put me to shame! haha I only spent 7 or 8 hours hacking DQ12r at max.....sometimes I didn't touch it for three or more days at a time.  Looking back on it though, nobody knew how to do ASM and nobody was willing to learn, so I guess that's why I didn't care as much after the first 6 months.  Now everyone wants ASM, me ASM me ASM! Me learn ASM!! Holy toledo....
