These shots will be updated periodically. Here is the first bunch.
If all goes well, expect a patch that will translate all the menu stuff and 40% of the text by Friday!!
Here's a battle pic showing the enemies' names are translated!

Geez...Gordon really is a failure. I will have to level him up pronto. BTW Like the new menu? The clock and shoe were Squall's, Chris', and formely Devoid's ideas.

I know Bright, but I want him to at least help out. See? I have him at a respectable level to at least be useful to the three in the Warship.

Man, does Gordon remind me so much of that Spoony Bard from FFIV.

You should add Icons in your font, for Status ailments. It would be neat, looks better then "Dark" or what not, just an idea. wouldn't be TOO hard either.

Of course, Gilbert/Edward is a blatant rip-off of Gordon from FF2. A lot of things from FF4 are ripped off from either FF2 or FF3 as well. I guess that's why its a series.
And lol RPGTess, Gordon will probably be gone in a short while... That's the problem with FF2 and FF4, ppl join and they leave (or die) after a while after you spend hours leveling them up. http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

I have a question, which translation are you going to use RPGTess in the first patch? Is it the old nes translation or the new WSC one?

Description from the FF2 translation page:
We all know what this game is! RPGTess, Devoid, Squall Alpha, ChrisRPG, and Neo Demiforce have come along to bring this great one from the Final Fantasy series to English speaking people. This game is one of the greatest RPGs that never was here in the US or any other English speaking country. The project will be done in 2 stages. Stage 1 is to use the Neo DemiForce translation of the NES version as a guide. And just shorten things as needed to make them fit. So at least the game can be playable while we work on the real hard stuff. And I'll be working on the hacking side of things like menu and other expansion needs, and compression. Once we can get all of that and insert it, that will be stage 2. A fully playable translation of the WSC version. We now have a Japanese to English translator. SpSpiff, who did the Dragon Quest 1 and 2 Remix SFC translation, and the Dragon Quest 5 translation for Byuu will be doing it. Whichever one that play, you will enjoy!
Check here: http://rpgone.emuxhaven.net/ff2.htm
Of course, we now know that devoid has left the project (good luck!). Also RPGTess is modifying Neo Demiforce's translation a bit to spruce it up a little, so that's cool.

Thanks bright for helping out. Regarding the status thing, we have plans to actually do that:) If we can implement it soon, it will be ready for the final patch (in about three weeks). Here's my party that just barely made it through the Warship ( forgot to get Esuna...)

Well the icons for status are being worked on, I just have to adjust the pallette. I havent done that yet, but its on my whats next list. So, if that's possible then It will be in the 100% patch, maybe not in time for the partial patch release this weekend.

Oh, I don't think you can get any empty WSC cart, plus the WSC game carts seem to always be 4.00 MB so there might be something special in there.
