Heya, I'm new to this PSX emulation. I already have a PSOne but I just wanted to play my PSX games on the PC. Anyway I'm using ePSXe v1.52. I downloaded Aldo's Plugin Pack and found the PSX BIOS. After I configured it and everything I started to play FF7 to test it out. The music plays super fast and also the control speed is fast too. My PC specs are:
P3 800mhz
256mbs RAM
Voodoo3 16mb videocard
SB 512 sound card
56x CD-ROM Drive
I play the game off of CD-ROM. How can I fix my problem?? Also, can this emulator smooth out the textures like what the PS2 does?? Can you show me how if this is true??
Thanks for your input, if any.

umm Try turning down the frame buffer to 1 . What plugins are you using ? use Lewpy's 3DFX Glide plugin, or Nikk's NextGlide plugin is the best if neither you like then use PEtes D3D and for sound Eternal SPU is a good one.

The "screen smoothing" is an effect that will blur everything on the screen. It requires much vram, however, which the voodoos don't have; plus that the glide plugins don't have that option i think. You're in bad luck, dude.

Actually, set frame limit to "auto". And yeah, screen smoothening can smooth the textures but greatly slow down your comp.
