Hmm well i just solved the problem by lowering my resolution to 640x480 instead of 1024, don't see any difference anyhow...
But it's still strange that higher resolutions only seem to slow down the menu music... don't even see a drop in fps

why is it so hard for my pc to emulate a simple menu and so easy to simulate 3d battles? http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

maybe its just urr sound plugin... unless u r using the sound plugin that comes with ePSXe u could try to fiddle with the settings... Eternal is one of the best sound plugins, Nulls is also fairly good and the one that comes with epsxe aint bad...

Yeah, that might be the case... The card game runs kinda slow too (not as slow as the menu though)

The fact is that there is LOTS of settings in these plugins. Try to set the "fast" settings to see what happens.

Although my problem is solved already (see previous post) it wasn't due to my sound plugin (tried all of em) but it was caused by the graphic part.

too bad i had too kep fiddlin' with my settings afterwards, cuz know i messed up something causing my sound to crash/hang/whatever that noise is....

My tip, when it works, stick with your config http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

know back to backtracking all changes i made to my pc...sigh
