<font color='#000000'>I am havin a prob with ePSXe right now, i am using Pete's video plugin, and i am playing Final Fantasy 9. When u go into a battle the swirl effect thats supposta be there dosn't show all i get is a black screen. anyone know the settings i need to use to make it show.

<font color='#000000'>You can use GFX card buffer (framebuffer texture) to make it show, but it doesn't look like the real thing. To make the swirl look like the real thing does, do emulated VRAM for FB texture and Full software drawing for FB access. Note that this might be a little slow on some comps (not on mine though), but it looks much nicer.</font>

<font color='#000000'>I knew it was one of thos.....Mine went slow for a sec while the swirl went or was it during battles....deffenatly when you cast higher up spells</font>

<font color='#000000'>thx for the help i got it working now. But i got another problem, Everthins in the menus is very slow, when i move the cursor about 4 seconds later i hear the sound then like 5 seconds after that the cursor moves, is there a fix for this one?</font>

<font color='#000000'>haha that happened to me as well.....but again I don't remember how to fix it. Try putting down one of the options that bright gave you....experiment</font>

<font color='#000000'>No, it really doesn't have to do with framebuffers. The slowdowns are CD access related. If you dump the CD into an ISO the slowdowns before battle and in the menus *should* be eliminated.</font>

I don't use isos anymore for it (since I am running out of room in my HD...) but back when I did I remember having no slowdowns.</font>

with auto framskip on it likits the frame rate to 50fps isnt full speed 60 fps or is playstation different from snes, n64, etc.?</font>
