Howdy,

I tried compiling the Neopop source with Mingw today (for no real reason) and it certainly seems to compile straight out of the box. It needs a fairly hefty Makefile, some DirectX headers and a resource compiler, but the signs are fairly positive for GCC and/or a free windows compiler compatibility (oh, and the rather large-grain profiling of gprof).

Anyway, just thought I'd say (and get a post on the exciting Neopop_uk boards of course!)

Chris

That's great news. I hope that the more people looking through the source - the more optimisations can be made, and bugs fixed.

You should check out 'changelog.txt' once in a while, that's full of the crazy ramblings that used to go into the main 'whats new' - I usually write it late at night so it's quite often completely inaccurate, partial and generally unreadable.

Someone asked me today what the debugger was for, I couldn't really see why anyone else would want it, so I think i'm going to move it to the source release... this should make the binary download a LOT smaller.

Cheers,
