Har. Hello Mr. Uber-good emulation coders that have more skill than I ever will. I would like to compliment you on a DAMNED JOB WELL DONE on NeoPop, as it is in my eyes the best NeoGeo Pocket Color emulator by far. (SOUND? SNK VS. CAPCOM COMPATIBILITY? CAN PLAY ALL OF ROCKMAN BATTLE AND FIGHTERS WITH NO GRAPHICAL GLITCHES I CAN NOTICE? Damn sweet, dude.)

And now, here's the annoying part. I was wondering, since this emulator is now so damn good... could you (refering to anyone, here.) try to port it to my spiffy Dreamcast? After all, playing games with the analog stick would feel slightly more true-to-the-original than the directional pad on my SideWinder. Maybe there's even the slight possibility for netplay or faking a Dreamcast-NGPC connection... or maybe I'm thinking too far ahead of myself like I usually am. :o

Speaking of Netplay, that'd be a spiffy feature to add in the next version. Maybe you can implement Kaileria or something? (sp?)

Thanks for the support!

As for a DC port - it would be nice, but I'm wondering if it can cope with my inefficient program?

I'm not sure what the equivalent speed of the system is compared to a PC, but I don't think it's more than 300/400 mhz on a good day... the problem is that I would waste the graphics chips with the obvious lack of 3D rendering, and so it wouldn't be exactly the sort of program it was designed for...

PS. I have received exciting news about a BeOS port that is underway - maybe this will start the ball rolling?

Regards,

Hm... I hope so. Anyway, I visit www.dcemulation.com which is a site devoted to emulators on Dreamcast. In case you haven't been there already, I think that might help you get the info you need on whether or not to port it.
