Im sad that your giving it up.
There is SO much more that could be done with the emulator.  I was hoping this would turn into the "VBA for NGP".

Oh well, its open source and there will probably be some attempts at making it work better http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cry.gif

Well real life calls. I'm sure some one can continue to improve the project, we be glad to host it as well.

The source code's there for people to continue work on this emu, so I'm sure someone will do BIOS support sooner or later.

I don't like the idea of another author releasing alpha versions of NeoPop. I bet neopop_uk knows most of the source code
out of memory! He is the only one who is able to include bios support this year. Perhaps we will see a NeoPop alpha 0.80beta crap by another author next year, but this isn't the same. Visiting this site daily and getting surprised by another release is over now  http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cry.gif  . One last question to you neopop_uk: have you ever talked to the author of Koyote, how he has implemented the bios support?

MadM: I don't really think it is the way you sad. No one will get interested in continuing the fine jog neopop_uk has left if he does not get any kind of support. The next release by some other author may be crap? Sure, but any trial is worth it. It is by making mistakes that you can learn the most. If you don't like any new versions, well, just stick with the last one by neopop_uk while you wish. http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

One thing is for sure: we WILL miss neopop_uk, but it is beyound our hope if he really has to leave the project. Many wonderful other projects ended up the same way, it's not up to us to complain, I think.

Also, just to take advantage of this message, I reckon it is not right to crush Koyote as many people have been doing around, just because NeoPOP is superior in several ways. I'm sure they are not competing to see which one is better; this is a community, and everything herein is for fun. Even LLC couldn't get rich with their bleem! project. Instead of *wrongly* critizing the author(s) by saying "X" emulator is crap, we should help him/them to improve it the best way we can. *Constructive* critics are indeed acceptable however.

<font color='#000000'>Hi, thanks for the kind response.

As for bios support, well I didn't try very hard - and I think it could be done. The menu itself could probably be isolated from the hardware init. preamble (the bit that caused me the most problems). I just never had the patience to document and trace though it all.

As for Koyote, I have spoken briefly to the authors, but they know what they're doing. To be honest, i've never tried the program so I don't know much about it.

As for extra versions made by other people, I'd be quite proud! It shouldn't be hard to make a 'display filter' port which has all of the crazy modes that seem to be popular... The sky's the limit.

As for in-depth knowledge of the system, perhaps - it's hard for me to know these days. I hope it's clear from the code (I know it likely isn't).

<font color='#000000'>I was kinda hoping for the non-filtered screen for Neopop.. but.. oh well. http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Thanks for the great emu, neopop_uk! I'll hope you'll start working on a Hyper 64 emu soon! &nbsp; http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif</font>

<font color='#000000'>Will neopop_uk work on an HNG 64 emulator?http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif!!!
Well, talking about this, do you have another plans for emulation of others systems?
I would say: GP32 and WSC.

OBS: WScamp does all sure a grand job, but only neopop_uk can do better than that!!!

Thanks also for this new version 0.71 because it is now running 100% here! Thx!!!! Before (until v.70) it just runned on maximum 30% i don't know why.

Bye... &nbsp;http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rotflmao.gif</font>

<font color='#000000'>Emulating the Hyper NG 64 should be as difficult as emulating the gamecube or xbox. So perhaps we will see an emu in 2005. &nbsp;http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif</font>

<font color='#000000'>Hi, I'm new here. I'd just like to say thanks to neopop_uk for an excellent emu for an excellent system. I've been using Neopop since v 0.13 and enjoyed every second of it. So three cheers for Neopop, the most updated emu, well, ever.</font>
