Strangely I have no sound in Win XP, but in Win 98 the sound works fine. Is this normal or just a configuration fault?

If there is a failure initialising the sound card then the mute option in the sound sub-menu will be checked and greyed. Is this what has happened?

I don't have XP to test with, has this happened to anyone else? I develop with Win98 and an SB-Live! 1024 - anything else is beyond my ability to test.

I would just recommend the standard 'get latest drivers' response and hope it gets better.

I use XP and everything works perfectly for me. I would also recommend the standard driver updates.

Allright, to update the latest drivers was the key. Now it workd fine, thanks alot.

So if anybody of you has a Soundblaster Audigy and no sound in WinXP, try the update.

Thanks alot, next time I'll now to upgrade the drivers first. I just wondered because other emus and everything else worked without driver upgrade.
