Just to clarify, I did say May: 'at the earliest' as in, that is when I would start working on it again. Nesagwa is right though, I have made a bit of progress lately with sound and timer emulation.
Before anyone asks - no I do not have any sound being produced by the emulator, I've simply achieved proper communication between the main CPU and the z80 (used as the sound controller) in commercial games - removing the need for some hacks that were previously in place. And while this does take sound emulation ahead a big way, there are more important compatibility issues to be resolved. Better than hearing a few beeps and clicks right?
I will update when the time is right, when there is something to show, at the moment there are only a few homebrew roms (which none of you will have, or would really want) that are working better. Not really cause for celebration.
Thanks for the support though, I really appreciate it!

Q: when do you guess the emulator will reach v1.0? http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif just wanted to ask something, don't take it too seriously

When?, I honestly don't know! I haven't given much thought to the actual version numbers either. The next version will be 0.3 and that's about as far as I've thought. I don't think v1.0 will mark any significant event - but that's 7 more updates at this rate, so I imagine it will look quite a bit better compared to v0.2 *http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
