ok.

(question 1) Are there plans to add Bios support so we can use the nifty calender, horoscope and such?

(question 2) Are there plans to add NetPlay support?

(question 3) Are there plans to add layer disablers for easy sprite capturing?

[/b][/quote] Yes, I'd like to add support for these features, but I'd rather get the games to work first. I'll just have to see how hard it is to emulate all of the requirements of the bios - it's much more demanding of the hardware than most of the games. As you can imagine.

I was also thinking of a local multiplayer option - where two copies of NeoPop are run on the same machine. Kind of a split screen mode.

sweet stuff
that idea for the 2player1comp multiplayer, how hard do you think that would be? it sounds kinda amazing.

Thanks, the single machine multiplayer option wouldn't be too hard to do - it would need support for multiple joysticks (currently the only joystick supported is the the first one, which is a bit cheap) and one copy of NeoPop would have to run out of focus while reading input (which is possible too).

I'd probably have two command line switches to select multiplayer master / slave operation (or even to make master operation the default...hmm)

It doesn't matter right now, no multiplayer games work! But I'm in contact with homebrew developers that are trying to help me out by writing some link-up games. Homebrew code is the best way of adding a new feature because it's usually written by hand and you can talk directly to the person who wrote it.

As for other features (which aren't guarenteed on any timescale):

EEPROM support, I think i'm about ready to add that it in now - and it would improve compatibility with the system bios, currently all of the flash memory calls are forcably ignored - which isn't ideal.

Recent file list,
Keyboard shortcuts,
Skinning (a border graphic of the NGPC basically),
Zoom filters (scanlines, 2xSai, etc.),
Full-screen mode,
Cheats & Search,
Autofire.

That's about all I can think of. I've kept a list of all of the suggestions I've been given. Which now includes graphics layer disabling. I'll listen to new ideas, just no promises of success. And of course I need to actually make the emulation core work better - which is perhaps the most important feature of all!

Are the bios dumped?http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif?
One more thing: I think the graphic blitters aren't needed, at least until you do more with the emulation. (Pleasy, more speed like in ngpocket http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif I have a shit ghetto pc http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif )

I looked for the bios but couldnt find any.
Its hard to think of things to add to the emulator. I mean netplay, muliplayer, bios, and layer filters are about all an emulator needs ( well not really but its nice ).

What does zsnes and vba have that is cool.....

um... ack i dont know im out of ideas.

cant wait till may and the new version http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

This idea hit me pretty hard.
Maybe ALOT later in the development, have ports for GBA and GP32 (or any system really).
