View Full Version : SDL Port...
Would anyone be interested in doing a port to SDL with me? All that needs rewriting are the graphic, sound, and input functions (rom loading should be handled by command line by default, so there is little to do there). The core should compile nicely on any *nix (It compiled fine in Mac OS X for me) so an SDL version should allow porting to nearly every platform. Check www.libsdl.org for more details, and e-mail me at flea@emuscene.com if you want to contribute to the port.

I hope you find someone! I don't have the time or reason to port NeoPop but I will definitely try and cater for the needs of different systems. E-Mail me if I've done something in an unhelpful way!
I'm caught up in another project right now, so I think someone else is going to do it. Hopefully all will work out well.

I'm looking into this possibility as I speak. I'm currently "investigating" if it's possible and how to do it ;)

Do I need to say more (with tnx to Caz) :

NeoPop 0.66 running on Windows XP with the Simple Directmedia Library. It was compiled with mingw-32 (gcc) and on Linux also (both work) and it needed some minor changes in the core code (min() isn't standard on GCC http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif ).
I hope to implent some extra stuff like scaling, opengl and gfx filters before a release. Maybe sound will be an option in the 1st version (if I found out how it works).
