I don't know where is this in the game, so please check if this a combiner error by selecting "? combiners as red"

Yeah it is fixed in .255 (which I am using) and yes Dave told me it was a combiner error. I don't think that it was anything I could have fixed manually within the configuration. But it works now...now the only other problem is the whole freezing up thing. But I think that is a PJ64 problem.

could you check, if it's fixed for "Wrestlemania 2000" and "Virtual Pro Wrestling 2" as well. I am quite sure at least one of those games had the same problem, as it's the same game, just with totally different gfx, menus, wrestlers, areas etc. ;) (same engine, eh?)

Oh..and look in the "Smackdown Mall" and look at that fire spitting animation. In 0.253, there is no fire...

What happens in Wrestlemania? I didn't notice any major problems.

Wrestlemania and/or VPW 2 had the menu bug as well...I am not sure which game it was...

It must have been VPW2 cuz Wrestlemania's is fine because it uses a different menu system than No Mercy. Isn't VPW2 just the Japanese version of No Mercy anyways?

well...they use the same engine, but differ highly in content. VPW ha sno specific license and copies many of the know wrestlers from all over the world (like the fire pro games do)

Yeah I am aware of that, but basically all I meant was VPW2 = No Mercy w/different wrestlers, therefore the menu problem is with VPW2/No Mercy and not Wrestlemania 2000

What's a good emulator to use for No Mecry? In Project 64 the characters freeze when I try to pin and do high-flying moves. And where can I download .255, the highest version I see is .253.

Yeah PJ64 as far as I know is the best emulator to use for No Mercy. I get the freeze mostly in championship mode, not really in exhibitions. You could try other emus but as far as I know Glide64 is only compatible with 1964 and Project 64 (PJ64)... Version .255 is a current in development beta. Only staff members and beta testers have access to it. For now you can't access it until the staff decides to release it. Sorry.
But if you would like to become a beta tester, ask Dave if you see him around, not sure if he needs more or not, but couldn't hurt to ask.

I guess I will use a gameshark code to get everything and just play exhibition all the time untill Project 64 wors without frezzing.

I haven't tried it on 1964. Personally I don't care for 1964. It's too unstable for me. But if you can get it to work, more power to you. You could try Jabo's Direct 3D, but the menu doesn't show up and the wrestlers have a greenish tint. Seeing as how Glide-cards don't handle D3D very well.

What's a good sound plugin to use with the glide64 plugin, everyone I tried sounds like crap.

I just use whatever the default for PJ64 1.5 is. I never had a problem...maybe it's your sound card and/or speakers, and not the plugin's fault. After all the plugin is just software to enable it to play sound, as far as I know, it's the sound card and speakers that handle the output of the sound. I could be wrong here though.
