Okay I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but ever since upgrading to Glide64 version 0.2 I can't run any game, it crashes PJ64 1.4 and 1.5 and freezes my computer. My drivers are up to date.

Here's my specs:

AMD Athlon 900 MHz
128 mb RAM
32 mb Voodoo 3 3000
Windows 2000

Glide 0.1 worked fine, so it has to be a problem with 0.2
Any help?

Strange. It worked perfectly for me.
Now that i remember, i think something like that happened to me the long time ago. What i did is to delete all the files that were on the emu folder, except obviously the esscencial files to run the emulator.
I thing that was a dll file that crashed the emu when i loaded it.

Also could someone help me figure out which is the most up to date driver for a Voodoo 3 3000 in Windows 2000? I have the Official one, should I grab a 3rd party one? If so, which one? I tried looking but couldn't find anything.

Well you all will be happy to know that I solved the problem. I downloaded the Omega Voodoo 3 3000 3rd party drivers for Win2K and installed them and it wouldnt work when I was logged onto Windows as myself, so I log on as the administrator and it works fine...weird. Oh well at least it works now.

The original drivers worked fine for me. I'm still using them.

Strange...they didn't for me...and get this...I had to reboot my computer and I go and try to run it again (with the 3rd party drivers and it didn't work)...sigh...I don't know what the problem is but it just doesn't work...it just crashes my computer.

It worked when you were loggin in as administrator, but not your regular account? Did you uninstall the registry setting for the emulator too?

Dave: does Glide64 use the registry to save config info, and could v0.1's old settings be screwing things up for v0.2?

The original drivers didn't work for me either (at least on the 0.1 release- I haven't tried them with this release). I'm using the 3dfx-Underground 1.09 beta 4 drivers and they've been working great (aside from my being unable to turn off the splash screen for some reason- I disabled it but it still shows up. But, whatever.)

Hmm can you give a link? And what OS are you running?

Might I add that the offial drivers that comes with new windows version are always crap. You should always switch to official ones if there is.

I'm using Windows 2000. You can get the 3dfx-U 1.09 beta 4 drivers here:

Win 9x:
http://3dhq.mine.nu:81/drivers/vs/vs-w9x-1.09-beta4.exe

Win XP:
http://3dhq.mine.nu:81/drivers/vs/vs-wxp-1.09-beta4.exe

Win 2000:
http://3dhq.mine.nu:81/drivers/vs/vs-w2k-1.09-beta4.exe

Majora's Mask looks really nice on these. The only problem I'm having is the lens of truth. In OOT it worked (albeit outside the circle insted of inside), but in MM when I use it everything turns dark except for the brightest things (like the transparent ice and falling snow). Driver issue or G64 0.2 issue? I don't know.

Edit: Seems that I missed the comment in the compatibility list about the lens of truth. I looked before, but I guess it's easy to miss with the executable compatibility list since it lists the entire comment on one line and only shows the first part without expanding the comment field with the mouse. Anwyay, now I know that the lens of truth is not working. I suppose I can suffer wireframe for those few times I need it. http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

Lens of Truth works for me occasionally, I've not been able to tell when though. But like you said, wireframe is good.
