View Full Version : This is probably known, but just in case...

I have just played through Zelda:OoT again and I must say that I'm very impressed with this plugin. *I would almost dare GeForce or Radeon cards to look as good with their DirectX or OpenGL plugins (I won't though, b/c I'm sure I'd lose that bet... http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cwm12.gif ).

Anyway, in case it isn't a known issue as it comes later in the game- there were two times that PJ64 (1.5b1) gave me a GFX plugin error. *This really wasn't a big deal, as one occurance is at the very end of the credits after winning, when young Link approaches young Zelda, and besides, all I had to do was save the state (the emu kept running, just w/o the gfx), change plugins, load the state and get past the offending area, save state again, and then change back to Glide64 and continue (sounds complicated but it's not). *The other time it occured was after Sheika revealed herself as Zelda and the scene cut to the day she escaped Ganondorf's clutches.

I haven't tested this with other games yet (what can possibly compare to the Zelda games? http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cwm4.gif ) so I don't know if this error occurs in other games, but here it is:

Thanks for a great plugin, and I await the chance to play Zelda:MM again.

Yes, that was a problem in 0.1, but since I rewrote the texture loading code, the number of graphics exceptions have decreased dramatically.  I'd bet that both of those problems have already been fixed.

Great to hear from you, Dave! *I just want to say that you've breathed a little more life into my Voodoo3 with this plugin. *Seeing PJ64's GFX performance on my computer was depressing when it first came out, but now I'm as happy as when I first got the card. *Upgrading soon is still essential for other newer games, but I can put it off for another few months now.

I'm happy that your plugin is progressing nicely. *Not that the wait for news has any comparison, but I was gettings feelings of Nemu 0.8 with the lack of updates... But that's just my problem. http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/alien.gif

i dont know if this has happened to anyone else or not, but i was playing zelda: oot today and it was a new game and as soon as i got done with the opening cinema and gained control of link, i leave his house and pj64 freezes up my comp....i reboot and it works fine...then again when i got to the cut scene about farore, din, and nayru creating the triforce, it froze up on din briefly, then resumed...havent had any other problems in it though....

keep up the good work dave and any others helping him...i am very impressed, zelda played like crap before i got ur plugin, now it works 99% perfectly
