Well, I rewrote the texture loading code entirely, and the result is much better than before. Now that it's done, I'd say it shouldn't be too long now.
Wheeee! That's the best news I've heard since I heard Glide64 v0.1 was released http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Probably, although I do not know of this problem you speak of.

OK, maybe this is an emu problem, but sometimes (rarely), most of the textures get totally screwed. This seems to happen mostly when I switch out of fullscreen and back in, but it happens other times as well. Here's a SS:

what setup and emu u using? i have a voodoo 3 and using pj64 and other than a few minor problems, zelda works fine for me...none of that rainbow crap
possible u may have gotten a bad rom as well
the only problems i have noticed are the trees in hyrule field, they have little lines hanging down, and epona, her shadow is kind of boxy and when headed from kokiri forest, the path in hyrule field disappears, but then reappears...this may be limitations of my comp or the rom or emu, or it could be glide...got me...all i know is it's nothing that prevents the game from being fully enjoyable....also there is the equipment screen, where it's all fuzzy...dunno what causes that...but the rest of the start screen (including the equipment screen) works fine, i will post some SSes to show what i mean

as promised here are some screenshots of the things i mentioned in my previous post...
here is the first one...this is a pic from the forest temple (i didnt mention this error in the previous post)
the problem here is, the green wireframe lines in the exit...not sure what causes it, but know that is not supposed to happen

here is another one...this is to counter the khan artist's screenshot of link's house, it shows that there should NOT be rainbow crap all over the place

this SS shows the equipment screen problem, im sure u all can clearly see the problem here....not sure what causes it, but notice how the rest of the screen looks fine, strange

this next SS shows 2 problems...first notice the path, see how it is cut away sort of? it's not supposed to do that....the 2nd problem is shown on epona, if u look at her shadow, u can faintly see the line along it...that is not supposed to be there either
1 more screen after this one

last one http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
notice the tree in this SS...see the lines hanging down? the tree is not supposed to do that...
again none of these problems are really that major, just things i have noticed while playing through the game...it could be comp limitations on my part, or emu, or rom limits, or maybe plugin limits...dunno...just thought i would point this out...could be part of a greater problem than i know of...

Hmm... so you've never had any texture corruption anywhere except in the item screen? It's fine for me most of the time, but occasionally, it just goes haywire...
I've also noticed the path problem, but I thought that was just my single-TMU Banshee.
I have an AMD K6-2, 80 MB RAM, and a 16 MB Banshee PCI, and Win98. I am using 1964 0.8.3c with the 32-bit core on.
I think my prob is the texture cache getting corrupt, because when I go the the menu screen and leave, most if not all of the things are fixed. I'm guessing it's filling the cache and overwriting things. I know my ROM is good, it's the Legend of Zelda, The - Ocarina of Time (U) (V1.0) [!] dump

i guess not.... i am using a 32 meg (i think) voodoo 3...900 Mhz AMD Athlon, 128 MB RAM, and i used pj64 version 1.4 with all the default settings...and of course the glide64 plugin..zelda works fine for me...even when switching in and out of full screen...occasionally it will lag, but it usually works fine
i dont know much about what ur problem might be...maybe u need a new video card or just need to upgrade ur system in general

Yeah, I'm planning on getting a Voodoo 5 5500 PCI sometime soon, as my Banshee is starting to go out (lines in the screen, flickers, etc.) I'd upgrade my entire system, but I don't have enough saved up yet. And I've got my motherboard overclocked, and it's VERY sensitive to timing, it hates my 128MB SDRAM stick. I'm quite surprised everything works now.
I plan on using the V5 side by side with whatever other card I get when I finally upgrade, which will probably be a Radeon2. I think I can wait a bit from something as sweet as TruForm. http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

A voodoo 3's has 16 megs of vid ram.. The voodoo 5 5500 agp and pci has 64 megs total but only about 32-40 megs realtime since textures are duplicated on both 32 meg ram chips..

i have a flicker issue in zeldaOoT with glide64 .1 The fps counter flickers in and out on different parts of the screen during gameplay. this happens in both pj64 1.5a and 1964 .80. its not a big deal, just sorta annoying. also, the start menu in the game takes ~7 seconds to load up. any ideas?

Max code blocks reached...is this an emu error or plugin error or? I received it while attempting to enter the potion shop in Hyrule Castle-Town as adult link (the one where you sell the big poes). Game crashed and I had to exit the emu.

If GoodN64 skips a ROM, then its bad. In fact, its so bad its not even recognised.
Best to go get another version if you can find one, it might sort out a few problems you might be having:)
