Riddle of the Week!

Alright here goes , its been a while but time to get this forum back in action!

Sooooo Here I go startin it up with 3 riddles!
Get Set Get Ready.............. GO!

1. Imagine John, a party magician, is carrying three pieces of gold each piece weighing one kilogram. While taking a walk he comes to a bridge which has a sign posted saying the bridge could hold only a maximum of 80 kilograms. John weighs 78 kilograms and the gold weighs three kilograms. John reads the sign and still safely crossed the bridge with all the gold. How did he manage this? (You guys might have heard of it but what the hey http://www.emuxhaven.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif )

2. A rich man's son was kidnapped. The ransom note told him to bring a valuable diamond to a phone booth in the middle of a public park. Plainclothes police officers surrounded the park, intending to follow the criminal or his messenger. The rich man arrived at the phone booth and followed instructions but the police were powerless to prevent the diamond from leaving the park and reaching the crafty villain. What did he do?

3. You have 9 golf balls. 8 of which are equal in weight. The ninth is slightly heavier then the rest. You also have a balancing scale. Can you use this scale two times and only two times in order to tell which ball is heavier?

first take out 3 balls and weigh the remaining 6
<1>If they are equal then weigh the 3 balls by one on each side and one left out.
if they are again equal then the ball left out will be heaviest, but if not equal then ball on heavier side is heaviest
<2>If the balls from the first weighing are not equal then take the 3 balls from the heavier side and weigh as in part 1
2 steps, 2 routes...

#2, *The Kidnapper *== the mans son, so he pretended to have been forced to go get the Diamond for the "Kidnapper"

Hmmm thailand... I can think of two answers... the first one that comes to mind I will not dare venture since it involves a special type of muscular mastery encountered especially in thailand but would not qualify as an answer on a PG13 board.

My second guess, this being thailand, would be that the cops were the kidnappers or were just partners with him/bought out by him. &nbsp;So they were just there to witness their future riches and followed the bagman back to HQ and celebrated and got drunk afterwards.

Well come on folks , lets keep on guessing . Only 1 more riddle to solve here ..... I guess if no one answers it,and someone has almost answered it fully(not saying who) but needs more info added on the answer, I will post the answer tomorrow.

The son was never kidnapped! It was a scheme the father put up in order to get the insurance money for the diamond, and he never put it in the phone booth, he just put it in his pocket!

I was thinking of a larger diamond. &nbsp;I wouldn't have thought a pigeon could carry that weight. &nbsp;But If it really happened in real life OMG must have been funny to see the news report on it. &nbsp;Wouldn't the police just use a fake diamond. What happened afterwards did the hostage get released? &nbsp;Sorry too many questions I"lll just shut up now.
