Here are some easy riddles, for u. U won't necessarily need a thinking cap for these ones (I think). Just come on in and shoot.

1. I am something that nothing is, but yet I have a name.
   I am sometimes tall and sometimes short.
   I join your talks; I join your sport,
  And I play in every game.
  What am I?

2. If you have two hourglasses -- one four-minute timer and
   one seven-minute timer, how can you measure nine
   minutes?

3. I never was, am always to be,
  No one ever saw me, nor ever will
  And yet I am the confidence of all
  To live and breathe on this terrestrial ball."
  Who am I?

4. What is so fragile that when you say its name you break it?

There are riddles that are waiting to be figured out...

If this goes on it could mean one of three things:
1) These riddles are too easy and you are insulted by my
   cheap riddles
2) These riddles are too difficult that, in the process
   of attempting the answer, your brain would have
   exploded, thus leaving you unable to give me a reply.
3) I'm really crazy, and I have no friends, and I adopt vitual
   cats all day in front of the computer, and if I have the
   time, I talk to myself and my virtual pets.

For the hour glasses, #2,

1. assuming glasses are settled, flip both 7 and 4 allowing sands to flow.
2. when four expires, flip it over.
3. when 7 expires, there is now 1 minute left in 4.
4. start the 9 minute period now (with 1 minute left).

I have to say I'm glad you all participated in my little riddles.
And just when I was about to giveup...
Lo and behold Playguy comes along... and actually gets all of his answers right or really, really, really, really close to the answers. (don't know what I'm saying but you get the point)

3. Actually the answer was tommrow but the future is the same as well.
4. Lynk actually broke the silence

For the hour glass one, there's a faster way to measure 9 minutes.. (no preperation..)

start them both
when the 4 runs out, flip it (there will be 3 minutes left on the 7)
after 3 minutes, when the 7 runs out, flip it (now there will be 1 minute left on the 4)
after 1 minute (when the 4 runns out) the 7 will have dropped 1 minute worth of sand, flip it once more, when that minute is over 9 minutes will have passed...</font>

1)A woman has 7 children, half of them are boys.
How can this be possible?

2)A farmer and his hired help were carrying grain to the barn. The farmer carried one sack of grain and the hired help carried two sacks. Who carried the heavier load and why?

3)A boy was at a carnival and went to a booth where a man said to the boy, "If I write your exact weight on this piece of paper then you have to give me $50, but if I cannot, I will pay you $50."

The boy looked around and saw no scale so he agrees, thinking no matter what the carny writes he'll just say he weighs more or less.

In the end the boy ended up paying the man $50. How did the man win the bet?
