Riddle of the Week!!

Well time for the riddle of the week again ! Finally the last weeks riddles were solved , nice job to all who solved them!

Here comes some more :

1.Dave and Brad, two popular politicians, met at a club to discuss the overthrow of their party leader. They each ordered a vodka on the rocks. Brad downed his and ordered another. He then drank his second in a gulp and decided to wait before he ordered a third. Meanwhile, Dave, who was sipping his drink, suddenly fell forward dead. Both men were setup for an assassination. Why did Dave die and Brad live?

2. Brad Doe works for a packaging company. One day, he received four separate orders and accidently mixed up the addresses, so he applied the address labels at random. What is the probability that exactly three packages were correctly labeled?

3. When Miss Millie purchased her new parrot, the salesman assured her that it would repeat any word it heard. About a week later, Miss Millie returned the parrot complaining it hadn't uttered a single word. Given that the salesman had spoken the truth about the parrot's abilities, why wouldn't the bird talk?

No 3: The poison was in Dave's first drink, and in Brads third!

1)They were supposed to die on their second drink. But Brad had the 2 unspiked ones, and Dave got the 3rd poisoned 1

On rocks!, which could mean that the guy who died drank the ice cubes and thus was poisoined while the other guy didnt swallow them.

For the package one, i am changing my guess to 1/24

For #1 I agree the poison was in the ice cubes but the reason Brad didn't die is because the ice cubes didn't have time to melt in his drink. And since Dave sipped his the ice cubes melted.

For #2 it is impossible for exactly three packages to be correctly labeled.
Why?

for number 2 some kid did say that at my school, but we just looked past it and continued as if since three were correctly labeled all four were and found the probability of all four labeled. But I think your answer is the right one edea.

The probability is 0 Zero Zilch Nought.  If 3 are correct the last one is too making 4.  Only 3 correct would be impossible.  Note the word "exactally" 3.

And I do believe that was a joint effort so we all win.
