In Practice mode, at the Port Town race track, you can fly over the city if you use an "S" right before the jump over the gap in the track. You must be at the far right of the track, use the "S" just before you hit the jump, hold down, and turn sharp. You must aim at the middle of the bend that bends away from you, and you must hold down until you land. This might take some practice.
Maintain Speed After a Jump
After going over a jump, you will normally hit the track hard and lose about 70 km/h. But, if you hold Down on your jump, you will land and your ship will make a weird noise. You usually reach full speed doing this.
Master Class
If you complete any league on the Expert Class, you can compete in a special Master Class.
Playing Tips
When at the magnet-wall section of Port Town II, hold the L or R buttons according to the side the magnets are on to avoid taking damage. (If the magnet is on the left, hold R, if the magnet is on the right, hold L.)
When going around sharp corners and hairpin turns, let go of the accelerator button, hold L or R depending on the direction of the turn, and hold the direction of the turn on the Control Pad to make it around taking minimum amounts of damage. When the curve is done, resume holding the accelerator button.
Note: The fastest recovering hovercars also take the fastest damage.
Hold Down on the Control Pad while in the air after a ramp to jump farther (think of it as Up putting the weight of the car at the front, causing the front end to point down, and vice versa).
Try using a boost just before going off a ramp and holding Down while in the air. You will gain some major altitude. Port Town II is an excellent place to do this.
Do the above trick and try to jump over walls and then back to the pavement as a shortcut. This works good in Red Canyon I. If you watch, some of the computer players do this, too. Be sure not to miss, or else you'll... Well, you get the idea, don't you?
Try to hit ramps when they jump over traction and those electric parts of the pavement like in Red Canyon I and White Land I.
While on a power-up strip, a ship will come and refill your life (you all knew that). But what you probably didn't know is that if you let go of the accelerator on the while on the power-up strip, the ship's jets will turn off too. No point in doing this; it's just a fun trick.
Note: Fire Stingray does have the slowest acceleration, but he also has the highest top speed, so if you can get a boost off of someone (see first tip on page), then he is pretty good. Pretty good? No. He's the best, and that's all there is to it!
Wild Goose is driven by an alien named Pico. How do I know? Supreme knowledge. You can play a friendly game of "Exterminate the Alien" by ramming him into the sides of the track or something out of pure meanness. Wait a second...He's an alien, so how can he get a driver's license?! Hey!! Come back here, Pico!!
When going around turns, try to stay on the inside of the curve. This is especially useful when you are neck-to-neck with a computer player, since they don't usually do this. You will usually come out ahead when you do this.
Sometimes it is helpful to ram a computer player from behind. Although this gives him a boost and knocks you back, most of the time he will go out of control and spin out, hitting a wall and putting you ahead of him.
Use a boost right before a zipper arrow (like those in the Death Wind tracks). Once, I reached about 920 km/hour by doing this on Death Wind I. The trick to getting this high is to use a boost on the long stretch of track on the sides of the oval of Death Wind I, and hit a zipper arrow. Talk about a speed demon!
Red Canyon 2 Shortcut
When you are at the jumps, hold down while in the air. When you`re finished all four or five jumps head directly straight only if you are at top speeds. There will be a jump. If you are not near top speeds you'll crash out! Hold down while you`re in air. While you`re in the air you'll see an arrow with jumps. If you hit it you'll save some time while the computers are dodging potholes!
Super Start
When you are starting any race the word READY!!! will pop up on the screen and you will hear three beeps. After the third beep and before it says GO!!! hit the accelerator for an extra speed boost.
White Land 2 Shortcut
In White Land 2 there are 2 turns where at the tip of the wall there is a aqua-blue end. If you have enough power you can cut through the wall. Don't cut through if you do not have enough power because the wall takes away some power.
When the Takara logo appears at the start of the game, quickly press DOWN, DOWN/RIGHT, RIGHT, DOWN, DOWN/LEFT, LEFT, and X in one smooth motion on controller one. The Fatal Fury logo will change to blue. Now you can choose the games hidden fighter, Ryo Sakazaki.
Play as a Bad Guy
When you enter the street fight and it is the 2nd players turn to choose a fighter. Press DOWN on the control pad. You will now have the option to play as one of the bad guys.
At the Takara logo screen, quickly press B, A, X, Y, Up, Left, Down, Right, then L and R. If you did the trick correctly, you'll hear Terry say "Okay" and you can play as any of the bosses.
Press start to pause the game.Press and hold the A button. Unpause the game and let go of the A button. Now you can do Big Bear's Super Drop Kick whenever you want.Just do this simple method. Pause the game again.Now press and hold the strong kick button (the A button is the default) for at least 5 seconds. Keeping the button pressed, unpause the game and release the button for the Super Kick.
Play As Ryo
To make Ryo selectable, turn on the game and, during the Takara logo: roll from Down to Right on the control pad, then from Right to Down, then from Down to Left, then hit X. Street Fighter junkies can relate this to doing a Hadoken (without hitting a button) then an Alpha Yoga Flame. If it doesn't work, try doing it multiple times in a row while the Takara logo is on the screen--you'll probably get it eventually. If you've done it correctly, the Fatal Fury logo will be blue, and Ryo Sakazaki will appear to the right of Krauser on any character selection screen!
Equip Cecil with arrows in his good hand and a bow in his bad. Get in a fight, and go to item. Select the arrows he has and put them in an empty space. Without leaving the window, choose the Avenger sword and move up and trade it for the bow you had equipped. Leave the item window, and his commands will disappear. Do NOT have anyone else do anything!
Once Cecil has cleaned up all the enemies, go to the EQUIP screen and you should see the Avenger in his bad hand and a number in his good hand. Unequip the Avenger, and equip whatever weapon you want duplicated in his good hand (where the number is). De-equip, then re-equip. Voila! The weapon in the item screen will have a black box and a number beside it. 255 of them!
Duplicate Items
During a battle, go to your item list and select an empty space. Next select one of the items you are holding (sword, shield, etc.) Run away, then re-equip the item and you will have two of them!
Dwarf Castle Crystal Glitch
After you defeat Calbrena and Golbez in the Dwarven Castle, you will get Rydia back. When King Giott finishes speaking to you, cast the Warp spell. You will appear in the Crystal Room behind the throne. Strangely enough, the Crystal is still there! Take it and this will save you the trip to the Sealed Cave. You will still have to take Luca's Key and enter the exit the Cave, but then Kain will take the Crystal as if you defeated the Evil Wall for it! Very strange, but an awesome cheat.
Get Excalibur
In the underground, go to the land of monsters and get the rat's tail in a chest by the entrance. Then, in the overworld, use the HoverCraft to get to the silver mine near Silvara. Give the guy the rat's tail and he will give you Adamant. Go back to the underground and find the weapon master in the lower-right hand corner. Talk to the guy on the second floor and he'll transform your old Legend Sword into the super-powerful Excalbur. NOTE: Only Cecil can use the Excalbur.
Kill Undead Monsters Easily
To kill undead monsters (ie. spirits, skeletons, etc.) Use cure on them. Fire works just as well. If your character can't use magic, equip him with a holy weapon (i.e. Light Sword, Crystal Sword, etc.)
Kill Zeromous Easily
First of all, equip Cecil with The Crystal Sword, Helmet, and shield. Equip him with the Adamant Armor, And the Zeus Gauntlet (glove). Make Cecil use the CRYSTAL to transform Zemus to Zeromous. Use Edge's Spoon dart and regular attacks. use Kain's jump attack or White spear. Make Rydia cast METEO, NUKE, and BAHAMUT. Make Rosa cure the party and use the WHITE spell to hurt Zeromous bad. Repeat this about 4 times and Zeromous will crumble up and DIE!!!!
The Spoon
If you talk to Yang's wife as soon as you get out of the Underground, she gives you a Frying pan. Use the frying pan on Yang in the cave with the Sylphs, it will knock Yang conscious, but he will nhot join you. Then give the frying pan back to the Wife, and she will give you a Spoon. The Spoon is the most powerful throwing weapon for the Ninja.
For those who think it is difficult to defeat the flame boss: Wrexsoul in Cyan's dream, consider doing this. All you need to do, is Immediatley use the X-zone spell (can be learned with the fenrir esper). This should kill Wrexsoul in one hit.
Easily Kills
To instantly destroy almost any monster (including most bosses), simply cast Vanish on them, then use X-Zone. It will instantly destroy all invisible enemies. Use Doom if there is only 1 enemy.
Economizer Relic
This relic is very useful as it reduces your magic cost to 1 point per spell! Here are three ways to get it :
1. Go to the Phoenix Cave with Locke in one of your parties. Steal from the Apuila (A bird creature) and you will get an Economizer. Try several times because sometimes you'll just get Fenix Downs.
2. Go to the forest east of Gau's father's house. Sometimes a Brachiosaur appears. Fight it (VERY HARD) and sometimes it drops an Economizer.
3. Go to the Coliseum and bet a Gem Box. If you win the battle you'll receive an Economizer.
Gain Levels Overnight
You need a turbo controller for this trick. On the Lete River, when you go in circles select fight, fight, health, and auto crossbow using memory (config menu) if you do this correctly you can leave it sitting overnight and be at level 50 - 65 the next day.
Get Genjo Glove
You can get a Genji Glove when you are at the returners base for the first time when you go outside and talk to Bannon. When he asks you to become the last ray of hope (or something or other) say no, he will send you inside. Go back out and say no again, he will again send you back in - go out one more time and say no again he will send you inside and the injured soldier will come in and you will get a Genji Glove instead of the Gauntlet.
Get Mog
To get Mog before the world of ruin go to narshe after you get your girl from ZoZo. (It should automatically send you there.) Walk out of the elders house after she says she'll talk to the Espers. Then go to the house with all the treasures in it. (It's on the east side of the town on the upper level.)
You will see Lone wolf stealing the tresure out of the locked chest. follow him out, he will lead you up to the Esper, he will threaten to throw Mog off the edge the. Then the Esper will knock them both off, they will both be hanging on. If you save Lone Wolf he will give you the gold hair pin that he got out of the chest, if you save Mog he will join your party.
Get Chainsaw
Go to the inn in Zozo and set the clock to 6:10:50. If done correctly, the wall on the right side will open to reveal a treasure box. Open it and you will find the chainsaw.
Getting Shadow in World Ruins
If you can't seem to find Shadow anywhere after you leave him behind and the world blows up, it's because you can't - he's dead. To avoid this, when the game asks if you want to wait for shadow (before the world of ruins blows up) choose to wait for him. He'll arrive with 4 seconds left on the timer and your party will automatically book it out of there. You can then find him in the cave where you usually find Relm. He'll be taken back to Relm's town but will soon leave. Go to the colosseum and put up the weapon that you found in the Veldt cave. You will be able to fight him - defeat him and he's yours!
Getting the EXP. EGG
In Darill's Tomb(World of Ruin) you can find the exp. egg relic. It doubles the number of exp. points a character gets after a battle. First, find the seemingly worthless room with four tombstones. On them will be carved four-letter phrases that make no sense. Then find the room with the blank tomb-stone in the upper left area of the tomb. Go to the tombstone, it will ask you to carve an inscription. The four nonsense phrases will appear. Carefully select each one in an order to where the phrases lined up will say " The world is square". Then you will be told where to find the egg. In the third basement , a wall will have opened up to the right of the trasure chest. Walk through the wall and get the egg.
Getting the Rename Card
During the course of the game, you may find you don't like the names you have selected for your characters. Like if you named Sabin after your former best friend and you want to change it. Go to the Colosseum and bet the Elixir. If you defeat Cactrot you win the Rename Card. And if you don't like it, you can bet it for the mysterious Marvel Shoes, if you can beat the Doom Dragon. Suggestion: Equip a strong character like Cyan with the Genji Glove and Offering to really clean up at the Colosseum.
How to Get All of Strago's Lores
To get all of the lores go to Kefka's tower and fight DARK FORCE. Use life three on all of your party members. Also take Strago with you because he has to learn the lores. The Dark Force will use all of the lore attacks that Strago needs to know. (You will have to wait awhile to get the dark force to use Quassar)
Kill an Undead Enemy Easily
When in a battle against a ghost or undead enemy you can use a Revivify or Fenix Down from the items menu, and any life magic. This will kill undead enemies in one shot.
Kill the Ghost Train the Easy way
To easily kill the Ghost Train use a phoenix down on it.
Kill the Boss of Magic Tower Easily
In the World of Ruin there is a tower where only magic can be used. At the top, after you get the Gem Box, you will fight a boss. This boss is pretty hard because he always changes his element. Here is the trick. Cast "Stop" on him. Then cast "Scan" to find out his weakness and hit him with that element. Don't forget to use "Life3" on all your party members because at the end of the battle he casts "Ultima" which kills everyone.
Locations of Characters in the World Ruines
Locke- Found in the Phoenix Cave (must have airship first!) Sabin- can't miss him. In the first town when Celes reaches the shore, Sabin is holding up a damaged house. Edgar- The so called "Gerad" is Edgar. Follow him to Figaro castle and go to the control room filled with those tentacles. Setzer- Keep talking to him in Kohlingen. Cyan- Go to Zozo, but the rust-rid and use it on the rusted door, climb Mt. Zozo and look for Cyan at the top. Gau- Take three members to the Veldt and fight until Gau joins up with you. Relm- go to Jidoor, make your way through Owzer's home and fight Chadarnook. After the fight she joins you. Strago- After you have Relm, put her in your party and visit the tower of fanatics. Strago will join you if you have Relm. Terra- on your second trip to Mobliz, fight Phunbaba, after the fight is over, Terra joins up with you. Shadow- see "getting shadow in the world of ruin" Mog- This one is easy. Find Mog in the Moogle Cavern. Umaro & GoGo- see "secret characters"
Moogle Charm
Here's how to get the Moogle charm, possibly the best relic in the game.
When you first find mog, talk to him. he will join your group. after this happens, walk to the wall that was behind him, and press search. (a) You will receive the charm. With this Item equipped, you cannot be attacked by invisible monsters!!!!
Paladin Shield
To earn the Paladin Shield, you must get the Cursed shield from an old man in Narsh after you get the Falcon Airship. Equip the shield, and win 255 battles with it. That will break the curse...and thus, you will now have the Paladin Shield.
Once the shield becomes the Paladin shield you can complement it nicely by also equipping the ribbon. The character who has both of these items will be impervious to every ailment except the count down timer.
Quicker Spell Learning
World of Balance: First of all, one of your characters must know the 'Doom' spell (if you don't, then 'Snare' from Mog's 'Dusk Requium' dance works too, but not as well since it sometimes casts 'Rock Slide' instead). You must also have the airship. Fly to the small island in the north-east corner of the map where you would normally find Zone-Eaters and GoGo's cave in the World of Ruin. Run into some battles, and you will mostly run into what appeares to be nothing, but is actually a behemoth-like creature that is just invisible. When you start the battle it is asleep. DO NOT ATTACK IT WITH SPELLS OTHER THAN 'DOOM' OR 'SNARE' OR ELSE IT WILL WAKE UP AND CAST 'METEO' AND KILL YOUR PARTY! When you kill it you will get 10 Magic Points toward new spells. Enjoy!
Second Momento Ring
Make your way to the second floor of Strago and Relm's house. In the left hand corner (the one with the tables and chairs) face south and press A to gain another Memento ring.
Secret Characters
GOGO - in the world of ruins go to the triangle island and fight a zone eater let it suck your party up and you can find Gogo.
UMARO - Go to Narshe in the world of ruins then go up to where the esper Tritoch is. Fight the esper and he will give you his powers then a chunk of the mountain will fall down. If you enter the hole you will find a maze that leads to the Terrato esper, some magicite, and Umaro. If you have Mog in your team he will join you.
For easy ability points (say, 4-8 per battle!) go to the basement of Bal Castle in World 2. Here you'll encounter Statues in groups of 2 (4 ability points) or 5 (8 ability points). However, you will most likely find yourself having difficulty with these stone warriors. Using a Soft potion will kill them instantly! Just keep stocking up on Soft potions and master all those classes that require hundreds of ability points!
After you beat the whole game, save right before you defeat the Dark King. Now go to fight until you get to level 41. You should have around 42 White Spells, 21 Black Spells, and 1O Wizard Spells. Now fight until you get around 1O,OOO,OO Extra Points. Your spells should have increased by 2 or 3! Do this until you have 99 in all three types of Spells.
Beat Skullrus Rex Easily
The first part of Doom Castle is guarded by another version of Flamerous Rex called Skullrus Rex. Most people would sigh and use all the magic in their inventory. Instead, just equip the hero with the Dragon Claw and scratch him once and he goes down. His ninja flunkies shouldn't be too much trouble after that.
Boss Tactics
The final boss is the Dark King, which is very hard. But an easy way to beat him is to use Cure on him. He should be dead in no time.
Defeat Minotaur Easily
When you first start a game, you have to get Kaeli and go to the Level Forest to defeat the monster that poisened the trees. His name is Minotaur and is really easy to defeat. When he attacks Kaeli, you have to fight him. To kill him instantly, have Kaeli use the Life Spell on him and he's automatically defeated!
Double Level Up
When you fight in a battle field, fight the first nine battles and leave one. Go somewhere besides a battle field (for instance, the Bone Dungeon) and get to where your exp. points are very, very low. About 1-100. Go to a battle field where you don't win anything and defeat the last battle. You'll get two level ups instead of one.
Full Heal
Using the Cure spell 4-5 times to heal yourself and quaffing tons of cure potions can be very annoying. To get a full heal, just use the Life spell. This works IN and OUT of battle, so when you find a boss that has a special attack that can mutilate your party in a few hits, use a Life spell to pump hp's back up.
Get Phobe with 680 Points
When Phobe joins press A 3 times to get her to join as a 680 hp character. She will be a powerful ally for a long time if you take care of her.
Get the Dragon Claw Sooner
Normally you're not expected to have the amount of money Tristan wants for the dragon claw when he gets it and offers to sell it. If you want to spend time trying to get $9000, though, he'll give it to you. Unfortunately this can take about as long as it would for you to normally get the dragon claw, depending how frivolous you are in spending your money.
Infinite Potions
At the beginning of the game, at the first forest, there is a treasure box carrying potions. Take the potions and leave the forest. Now go back to the forest and the treasure box will be full of potions again! Repeat this process until you have as many potions as you want.
Super Heal Spell
Once you get your Heal Spell,( Falls Basin ) you can really hurt an enemy. If you use your Heal Spell on an enemy, it could put them to sleep, paralyze them, poisen them, confuse them, and petrify them!! It works well against those enemys that are hard to kill!!
The Ultimate Spells
The Exit and Life Spells are very deadly. Most people think that the Exit Spell will stop the battle you are currently in, and most people think that the Life Spell will bring an enemy back to Life you have defeated! Well, the Life Spell kills almost everybody unless they are strong against fatal attacks. The Exit Spell kills everybody except the bosses. Have fun liquidating your enemys!!!
Using BattleFields Wisely
In the game, go to a battlefield and fight a couple times. Then leave for something else. When you get to a part of the game where you need more power, go back to the battlefields and clear it out. Then, when you come back you won't have to go through everything all over again!
In round 2 when you start you will see two windows and a pipe. Go to the far right window and grab a guy. After you have done that throw him. You should break the windows and dent the pipe. And when you are done and have moved on, break the rest of the windows. At the end of the stage you will not go on and have to beat the boss Caine.
Super Combo
This super combo can be easily executed with Cody, but it's a bit tougher with Haggar. To begin, initiate a punching combo (press Attack, Attack, Attack for Cody) or (attack, attack for Haggar.) While you're pressing these buttons, hold the d-pad AWAY from your enemy. Before you do your final ending combo blow, you will throw the enemy, delivering massive damage!
Note: You can also start this combo with a jumping knee (jump and hold down, press attack) to deal even more damage! (This will not work for Haggar.)
Hold SELECT while turning on the game. After the Capcom logo appears, a test mode screen will appear where you can enable several cheats.
Round 5 Ladder
If you know the round 3 cheat to skip caine(break all windows),but still want to fight Wong,follow these tips: At Round 5,you will first arrive at an underground drain pipe.Pass the first waterfront and you will see a ladder.Go towards the ladder and you will arrive at Round 4 stage(but still considered round 5.)
Skip the Fifth Boss
There are some doors in round 5 which you can go into.To go in,Pick up a person(works well with Haggar because he's the only one who can move while lifting)and throw him towards the door.If it is a white dead end room,go out.If it is a blue room with a small opening,go in(you will have to fight Dirk and Ray first.) You will arrive at a computer room. Break all computers and you will not have to fight Stray.
Skip The Third Boss
When you start round 3 you will see two windows and a pipe. Go to the far right window. Pick up a enemy and throw him twords the windows and the pipe. After you have broke the windows and dented the pipe you will go on. Break all the other windows and you will not have to defeat Caine.

Haggar:
Forward,Down,Forward,Down+Y: Haggar jumps up,does an inverted suplex,jumps up again,and does a spinning piledriver.
Guy:
(same as Haggar) he does a bungh of punches,then a fireball
Lucia:
Down,Down,Forward+Y: she does a series of kicks, a tornado spinner(flying bird kick)then a flame spinner (fire kick.)
Dean:
Down,Up+Y: Dean jumps up,does what looks like an electric uppercut,to a hard slam throw,then electrocutes the enemy in his hand.
Press Select when the Title Screen appears to switch to the Options screen. Now press and hold L, R, X, A, and any direction on the Control Pad simultaneously. Don't release the buttons until the screen switches to the new stage. The stage you start on depends on the Control Pad direction you hold.
